Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about shipping to Mexico.
At minimum: commercial invoice, packing list, and bill of lading. Depending on your product, you may need certificates of origin, FDA registration, permits, or other documentation. We'll review your shipment and tell you exactly what's needed—most of the time we can prepare everything for you.
Yes—this is actually very common. Our comercializadora (Mexican trading company) can act as the importer of record for your shipment. We import the goods legally, handle all the customs paperwork, and deliver to your customer. It's the easiest solution when your buyer can't import directly.
For urgent orders, we have hotshot drivers who can deliver direct—van, box truck, or 53-footer. Monterrey is about 3 hours from our Laredo warehouse. Mexico City is 13 hours. For time-sensitive shipments where cost isn't the priority, we can often deliver same-day or next-day to the Monterrey area. Expedited delivery is contingent on your product's customs requirements and our driver availability.
Some products—like textiles, certain foods, chemicals, or regulated goods—require special import permits or registrations in Mexico. We'll let you know upfront if your product falls into this category. In many cases we can still help, but some restricted items may require your buyer to obtain permits on their end.
Yes. If you have your own Mexican customs broker or your buyer is handling import, we can simply provide the carrier from Laredo to anywhere in Mexico. We'll quote logistics only.
A comercializadora is a Mexican trading company authorized to import goods on behalf of others. It matters because many Mexican buyers aren't registered importers—they can't legally bring goods into the country themselves. Our comercializadora solves this: we import the goods as the official importer of record, then deliver to your customer domestically within Mexico.
